Who Could Perform at Donald Trump's Inauguration?

Donald Trump is set to be officially inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States on January 20, and speculation continues over the musical lineup for the event.

In 2017, Trump’s inauguration featured performers such as 3 Doors Down, Toby Keith, Big & Rich, Chrisette Michele, Jackie Evancho, and members of the Rockettes, among others.

When Joe Biden was inaugurated in 2021, artists like Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, and Garth Brooks performed, with Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry, and Justin Timberlake joining a special TV event hosted by Tom Hanks.

As Trump's upcoming inauguration draws near, the full list of confirmed performers has not yet been released, but rumors and speculation abound.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham recently suggested that pop star Taylor Swift, who had previously criticized Trump and endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2020 election, could perform as a gesture of reconciliation.

Newsweek has identified some likely candidates for the 2025 ceremony, including:

Kid Rock

Kid Rock, a longtime Trump supporter, has expressed admiration for the former president’s political approach. He publicly supported Trump’s 2016 campaign and performed at rallies. Although Kid Rock remained quiet after the 2020 election, he later called for unity and reconciliation across political divides.

Lee Greenwood

Country singer Lee Greenwood has been a vocal Trump ally, performing at rallies and at his 2017 inauguration. Greenwood, known for his patriotic anthem “God Bless the U.S.A.,” has praised Trump for his focus on national greatness and strong defense policies.

Mary Millben

Singer and actress Mary Millben, who performed at Trump’s first inauguration, has voiced her desire to perform again. She praised Trump’s leadership, particularly after his personal challenges, and highlighted his boldness in publicly expressing faith. Millben, who has performed for the past four presidents, also participated in Trump’s 2020 rallies.

Big & Rich

Country duo Big & Rich performed at Trump’s 2017 inauguration, with John Rich being an outspoken Trump supporter. Rich recently teased his involvement in the upcoming inauguration, although he is also hosting a sold-out inauguration watch party at his Tennessee venue. His participation remains a possibility.

Jason Aldean

Country star Jason Aldean earned Trump’s support after controversy surrounding his song “Try That in a Small Town,” which Trump called “great.” Aldean publicly expressed his backing for Trump and attended rallies, dedicating the song to the president. He has been vocal in supporting Trump’s policies, particularly on values and national security.

Kanye "Ye" West

Rapper Kanye West has been a high-profile Trump supporter, famously wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat and meeting with Trump on multiple occasions. Although West faced backlash after controversial statements, he has continued to express support for Trump, and his performance at the inauguration would be a significant moment for both him and Trump.

As the inauguration nears, it remains to be seen which artists will take the stage, but these names are among those likely to be involved in the high-profile event.
